Weird But True Tales, By Allan Zullo

Review by Marcel:

Hello everyone! In this Book Talk, I chose a book called "Weird But True Tales." The book is by Allan Zullo and it is not part of a series. Also, this book is a non-fiction book.
I got this book from the Scholastic order. It got here at around February 2009. Here's a cool thing I learn, this book is previously published as "Could It Be True?", and then for some reason the author change the title to "Weird But True Tales."
In this book, you will read about 9 incredible coincidences stories. All the stories are about coincidences but different kind of coincidences. The coincidence range from meeting someone you lost a long time ago to meeting someone you don't know that have something you own. Among the 9 stories, I like the story called "Katie's Lifesaver." The story is about a girl name Katie and she like to do dangerous things. But whenever she do something dangerous, there are accidents. Those accidents saved her life, as you'll discover when you read. Please remember that even though it is a non-fiction book dialogues, scenes, places, and names have been change to protect people's privacy.
In my opinion, I like the author's writing style because the writing style is very excited, so it makes you don't want to stop reading. It's so exciting, I finish the book in 1 night. I didn't sleep because it was a Friday night (I think). In the book, I dislike some of the stories because the story is boring and it's not an incredible coincidences but just a coincidence. Stories like that makes me want to skip the story and makes me yawn.
I recommend this book to age 9 and above because this book has some hard words. I also recommend this book to people that like incredible coincidence because this book mainly talks about coincidence.
That is my Book talk and thank you for reading.
